We aimed to enhance the performance of our Carve wings with the new Aero foil Carve 2.0. Our focus was on increasing glide and speed while reducing drag, all while maintaining control at high speeds and improving maneuverability. We started from scratch, making significant changes to the wing's design parameters, including adjusting the aspect ratio, outline, curvature, profiles, and twist. Each size has been optimized for its intended use.
The 1430 is larger and has the lowest aspect ratio and thinnest profile to maximize maneuverability and reduce drag. On the other hand, our 850 has the highest aspect ratio and thickest profile to improve lift and delay the stall on a small wing. The Carve 2.0 is the ideal wing for tackling "real waves." Although it doesn't glide as well as the Free or the Glide, it compensates with higher top-end speed and much better maneuverability on the wave face.
The Carve 2.0 is the top choice of our freestyle team competing on the world tour. These wings enable them to load up for their jumps faster, resulting in a more explosive pop. The medium aspect ratio also means that hard landings are much less stressful for the rest of their gear. Additionally, this medium aspect ratio also makes the Carve 2.0 wings a great choice for Kite Foiling. Riders can lean on their mast more aggressively without the wing tips coming out of the water.
